The Wedding Co. Show

I have been really busy working with Eph*ra Event Design  on our space for The Wedding Co. Show. It was such an amazing experience and I actually felt kinda “star-struck” meeting some of my long time favorite artists from the show (Deborah from Palettra, Alexandria from Cake Opera Co. ,  Allyson & Sarah from Bobette and Belle,  Melissa from Mango Studio, Ikonica, 5ive 5ifteen….I can go on and on). I had such a great time at The Wedding Co. Show and it was such an amazing turn out. We really have to thank Catherine Lash , Fiona Christie and the fabulous team from The Wedding Co. for putting together such an inspirational event. Alanna, Dawn and I are so honored to be a part of the show this year. We met so many amazing couples and we can’t wait to get in touch with you and start helping you planning your big day. Hold on to your seat and be ready to see some of the most beautiful designs and pictures!

First up, Eph*ra Event Design Booth 🙂 we really wanted to do something out of the ordinary and eye catching, so we went with blue and orange as our main colors. Our focus was to make our guests feel warm and welcoming once they step foot into our space.

Weekend Fun

Sunday, November 11….Franky took me to Wish Restaurant located in Yorkville, Toronto. We had a late brunch at Wish and it was everything Iwish-ed” for.

I’ve always had the big, crazy, maybe out of hand kind of celebration for my birthday 🙂 But lately, I really feel like I’ve settled down and  I just wanted to do something nice and calm for a change. Wish was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday with my family and a few friends. If you’ve never been to Wish before, I strongly encourage you to try it out. I have to thank Tim from Design Maze for introducing me to this sweet restaurant/cafe when he blogged about it during the summer . Ever since then, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this adorable place. This little cafe did not disappoint me at all; small, cozy and intimate; the exact ambiance I was looking for to celebrate my 24th birthday. Thank you Mom and Pops for bringing me into to this wonderful world. And even though we have our ups and downs, I can’t thank you enough for raising me to the person that I am today. Alright, enough of this sappy and emotional talk, let’s get to the pretty decors inside Wish!

Love the decor in this cafe, a perfect combination of vintage and rustic vibe

Sunday was a perfect afternoon, I really couldn’t ask for more. Thank you for celebrating this day with me 🙂

Monday was my actual birthday…It was one of the most insane days EVER! I was doing a creative shoot with Ephra Event Design at the Berkeley Church and I can’t wait to see these images published! Unfortunately, I can’t give you guys any sneak peeks, but once I get the ‘go-ahead’ I’ll share with you guys immediately. Trust me, it’s going to be AWESOMEEEE!! We did get a treat from Manual Labour Coffee and its so yummy. You can find out more about their tasty coffee here.

What will your birthday be like this year?

Weekday fun

Today Sarah and I went on a fun little business trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake (country area populated with orchards and veggie farms, ALL grown by Ontario farmers) to help Sarah to set up for a Labour Day weekend wedding. It was a pretty interesting day getting to know what Sarah does as an Jr. Event Planner for Ephra event design. We spent most of the day setting up lights for a romantic outdoor lounge area. While the weather is still warm, everyone should be using any excuse possible to cherish the final days of Summer.  We love spending our nights out on the patio and this article provides some great advice on how to host your own cozy home garden party  . I think this place will look fantastic at night!

Of course we had to pick up fresh peaches and pears before we left  🙂 🙂 🙂  simply delicious…

How to: #Photoadayaugust Challenge

It’s that time again to play Photo-a-day challenge hosted by Fatmumslim, YAYY! We can’t wait to get started for August. Last month, we participated in this photo a day challenge and it was pretty cool! Here’s a wrap up/ summary of our month for July. What was your July like?

Photo a day July on Instagram

Just saw a wonderful post on A pretty life’s blog and she’s participating in the #Photoadayjuly on Instagram. A fantastic project/challenge by Fat Mum Slim! Although we are exactly 5 days behind…we need to start catching up now!

Here’s how to play:

Source: #photoadayjuly

1. Look at the list. What’s the prompt for the day? Let’s pretend it’s self portrait.
2. Take a photo of yourself, either in the mirror or some way else.
3. Upload your photo to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, your blog, Pinterest or where ever it is you want to share your photo. Use the hashtag #photoadayjuly so people can find your photos
4. Check out everyone else’s photos. Comment or like them!

Follow us on twitter (@How2_guy) and instagram (@sarah_tsao) on this fun challenge and keep us posted with your challenge as well 🙂 Let the fun and challenge begin….
